HOSPITAL BOMBSHELL

The Health Department gave absolutely no indication of its intention to close the Ouse District Hospital until the announcement on May 24th.  Below is a list of meetings held from October 2006, at their request, with our Medical Services Special Committee of Council.  These meetings were all held to discuss ways of enhancing the existing hospital services and increasing aged car capability.  At no time was there any suggestion of the hospital closure until May 24th at 1.00 p.m.
